According to the petshop owner my 2 senegals are both 5 months old now. I’ve put them in the same cage a month ago. Now suddenly one of them started to feel the other one that I hand fed since I’ve got him. I also discovered that they are not from the same breed and just wondered if this behavour is normal or maybe one is older than the other. Is this a normal “bond” behavour or not?

I don’t think it is anything to worry about. My sennie and one of my keets fed each other.

when parrots lay eggs they feed the other while it sits on the eggs. The hand fed one is probably a more immature than the other so the one feeding is taking over the parenting role. This is all normal for them to do so relax & don’t worry.
