I have a Lilac Crown Parrot and Senegal, will they ever be ok to let them play together?

They have been together in a cage with a separator, but when we let them out together Moses, my Lilac Crown goes after Cleo the Senegal. I have to step in to break it up, but will this ever change? I never leave them alone when they are out.

That’s always an iffy sort of thing. I suspect the answer is no. Remember, it only takes a couple of seconds to bite off a toe or foot, especially if one bird is much larger than the other. As a general rule, they have to have been raised together for that to work well.
I have 5 parrots at home at the moment, while some are friendly, others tend to be jealous. I cannot have them out together. The jealous one goes after the others.

depending on how long you have had them for, they may be destined to have a life apart! Some birds get a long very well, and others are competetive and aggresive towards eachother for life. It doesn’t matter the species or size, it is always just individual personalities. I went through this with my cockatoo and grey. They were both babies when I got them and I had hoped they would sit together loving eachother like the pictures you see in magazines, but I finally accepted that they cannot ever be out together. They are both sweet pets, and like eachother from a distance, but if they get within a few feet of eachother they start towards eachother and become aggresive. I do not want either to get hurt, so we just have seperate “out” time. Best wishes!!
