Parrot Cages

As most folks in Den Haag (Netherlands) know, there’s a lot of parrots. So where do they go in the cold Dutch winter. I just saw one blow past my window at about 500km/h and I’m not sure if parrots were designed for windkracht 7 and cold autumn rain.

Are parrots just a lot tougher than I think, or do the city council just buy a new flock when the old ones get blown into the side of towerblocks?

I fill my bird’s food dishes up to the top every morning. I have two African Grey Parrots. They pick at it and eat on it all day. They throw half of it out. My question is: Do you leave food out for parrots all day? Or do you pick the food up and give it to them on a schedule? If so, how often should I feed them? They are sooooooo messy with their food. They are on a pellet diet and that is what I have trouble with. I also switch out fruits and veggies and I will make them eggs, pasta, rice, etc. but they gobble that stuff up. It is the pellet food they like to play with and make a mess out of.
Oh, it also makes cleaning thier cage a mess. They **** all of the time and everywhere.

I know I heard that Quakers have a wonderful personality, but I was wondering about the other parrots. I mean like small parrots, not big ones such as a Macaw and such. I want a Quaker but I’m having second thoughts on getting a Quaker, and am wondering about other small parrots similar to a quaker.
